The Ministry of Commerce Inspection Teams have Carried out 223 Inspection Tours on Shops and Outlets in Qatif Governorate to Verify the Availability of Foodstuffs and Consumables

The Ministry’s inspection teams have carried out 223 field rounds in Qatif Governorate on Tuesday to verify the availability of products, food supply and consumables. The inspection tours included warehouses, outlets, bakeries, vegetable and fruit stores, meat and fish shops and fuel stations.

The results of the tours showed that there is sufficient stock of goods and products, price stability, and the continuity of food supply to the markets and outlets throughout the governorate.

The inspection tours included Qatif, Sihat, Anak, Safwa, and their villages and suburbs, including Al-Qudaih, Al-Awamiya, Al-Bahari, Umm Al-Sahik, Umm Al-Hamam, Abu Ma’an, Al-Awjam, Al-Jish, Al-Khuwaildiyah, Al-Jaroudiya, Hillat Mahish, Al-Tawbi, Al-Milaha, Al-Nabiya, in addition to Tarut Island and the relevant villages, such as Dareen, Sanabis, Al Rabia’h, Limited income area, Al Atrash team, Deira, Al-Zour.

This comes as part of the Ministry’s efforts to control markets and outlets in all regions of the Kingdom, as well as to monitor the food supply and provisions situation, also to control cases of fraud, manipulation and  misleading towards the consumers, and consequently to impose the legal penalties on violators, in accordance with the commercial regulations.

The ministry calls on all consumers to report their complaints and observations against any violating establishments or outlets through the Consumer Call Center (1900) or through the application of a Commercial Violation Report, or via the Ministry’s website.
