MCI, Tracking the Counterfeit Commodities in the Warehouses and Detecting (25) thousand Women Bags and Wallets in Riyadh

​Destroying all the Quantities of Women Counterfeit Bags and Wallets for Famous Brands
 
MCI has carried out inspection rounds on warehouses to track storing sites of consumer counterfeit goods, to be detected before marketing them to the shops, where two sites in Al Marqab quarter in Riyadh were detected. These sites were exploited by expat labors through hiding more than 25 thousand commodities of counterfeit consumer items for famous brands including Women's bags and wallets. All the detected items were destroyed, and those involved were summoned for investigation and taking the legal procedures against them.
 
The details go back when MCI Control Teams had implemented intensive inspection campaigns   targeted factories and warehouses in Riyadh to track down the distributors of counterfeit goods, in cooperation and coordination with the joint security campaigns, resulted in detecting 25300 counterfeit women bags and wallets for famous brands such as: "Louis Vuitton" "Chanel”  " Burberry " " Givenchy " and" Fendi ", all the quantities were immediately destroyed all the   municipality dump.
 
The Control Teams monitored as well a number of documents, sale invoices and transport vehicles.
 
It is worth mentioning that the MCI had implemented control campaigns during the last period, resulted in detecting 50 thousand counterfeit and adulterated consumer goods, included large quantities of bags, perfumes, shoes, counterfeit watches and others, these items were found inside 9 warehouses and apartments belonging to expat labors, where those involved were   summoned for investigation and taking the legal procedures against them.
 
MCI emphasizes that it will not tolerate in imposing the legal penalties on violators and those involved in the practice of fraud and counterfeiting, and all that put the health and safety of consumers at risk.
 
MCI calls on all consumers to report their complaints and observations to the Notification Center in the Ministry through the toll- free number 1900.
