MCI Had Stopped and Confiscated a Truck Loaded with Large Quantities of Adulterated Rice

MCI Detected Labors re-packing Rice in Bags of Famous Brands
 
MCI, after Investigations conducted by the Control Teams, detected and confiscated large quantities of adulterated rice loaded on a big truck. There were about 1000 bags of 40 kg, refilled in bags for famous brands destined for a warehouse in Al-Shifa District, south of Riyadh. MCI received information from the owners of those brands stating the existence of labors marketing these types of rice bags to the shops, which is considered  a fraud and adulteration on consumers .
 
MCI Control Teams had traced the truck involved in transferring the adulterated rice on its way to a warehouse in Riyadh to discharge the load, and on board the labors of Arab Nationalities, where it was stopped immediately and all the loaded quantities were confiscated.
 
Then, the Control Teams headed towards the said warehouse, where they confiscated all the quantities inside bearing different trademarks, with the closure of the warehouse until the completion of the procedures , in addition to calling the labors and the owner of the warehouse  for investigation and applying the legal procedures against him.
 
MCI emphasizes that it will not tolerate with the violators and those involved in the practice of fraud and counterfeiting and all that put the health and safety of consumers at risk.
