The voting process in the elections of Makkah Chamber of Commerce’s Board of Directors for the session (1443 H-1447H) will commence at 09:00 am tomorrow, Monday, and last until nine o'clock next Wednesday evening.
The session will be conducted in line with the new Chambers of Commerce Law, aiming to enhance transparency and raise the efficiency of the chambers' performance.
Fifty-seven people, including a businesswoman, are running for half of the chamber's 12 Board seats in the Makkah Chamber elections.
The Ministry of Commerce’s monitoring and complaints committees met with candidates to discuss the electoral process' mechanisms and controls, as well as the constraints that candidates must steer clear of.
The Ministry urged chamber candidates to compete fairly, observe the rules, regulations, and guidelines, and respect the rights of other candidates, including refraining from intervening in their election campaigns.
