The Ministry of Commerce inspectors seized a warehouse in Riyadh, manufacturing counterfeit sterilizers by using unknown materials and in an illegal way.
During MC inspection tours, the inspectors suspected a case of commercial fraud. Therefore, in cooperation with the joint security campaigns, the inspection teams raided the site, which was used to make fake sterilizers by using materials of unknown sources.
After carrying out the necessary investigation and verification, it was found that the illegal labors used to distribute such fake items during the curfew period using e-delivery applications. They used to manufacture and store such counterfeit materials in a residential apartment in Riyadh. Therefore, all the fake quantities were seized and confiscated.
The Ministry of Commerce would like to confirm that its inspection teams are working round the clock to monitor, control and combat any fake products or counterfeiting practices, since such action would affect the safety of consumers and the national economy.
