MCI recall more than 200.000 defective products during the first half of 2016

​The ministry of commerce and investment posted the information of 200.000 defective product (including 182.112 defective cars) on the website Recall.Sa, in local newspapers and through media in the first half of the year 2016. Statistics showed that there were 97 defective products recall campaigns for various brands, the majority were 83 campaigns for cars, while 14 distributed campaigns on different items.
 
Recalls center statistics reveal many defects, including manufacturing defects for vehicles, air bags, brakes, seat belt, front headlamps control unit, vehicle steering system, engine start unit, engine cover and others. These recalls were a collaboration between the Ministry of commerce and investment and the manufacturing companies along with local agents resulted in inviting consumers to repair the defective part at the local agent for free, with no cost and regardless of the state of the product warranty.
 
It is worth mentioning that the Ministry of Commerce and Investment has established a website especially for recalled products earlier in the year 2013 to provide necessary information.
