For the Coming of Eid Al Fitr, MCI Inspection Teams are Monitoring the Shops Selling Zakat al-Fitr, Clothing, Sweets, Gold & Jewelry

Within the Ministry of commerce and Investment plan for the coming of Eid al-Fitr, the inspection teams are conducting inspection and control rounds on the outlets and shops selling zakat al-fitr, clothing, Eid supplies, sweets, gold & jewelry, also inspecting the fuel stations on the travel routes, since these centers witness a lot of consumers during this period.

This inspection campaign aims to ensure the availability of goods and basic products and their alternatives, control any commercial violations, also to ensure the absence of any violations related to Anti-commercial fraud Law and Anti-Commercial Concealment Law, in addition to monitoring the promotions and sales offered by markets and shops during this period to ensure the absence of deception or manipulation towards the consumers, as well as to ensure the validity of foodstuffs and they are suitable for the human consumption, also to verify the commitment of placing the price tags on the items, and to ensure that the price placed on the item is matching the one with the cashier, besides imposing the proper penalties and taking all necessary legal measures against the violators.

MCI calls on all consumers to lodge their complaints and observations through MCI Consumer Call Center (1900) or through the application of a Commercial Violation Report, or via the Ministry's website round the clock.
