A new achievement has been added to the achievements of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry in the Government Electronic Applications, where three projects of the Ministry won the prize during the ceremony of the Achievement Award of the e-Government at its third session, organized by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology under the auspices of His Royal Highness Prince Muqrin bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, second Crown and Second Deputy Prime Minister, Adviser and Special Envoy of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, on Wednesday, 19 Muharram 1436 AH corresponding to 12 November , 2014 AD.
The aim of the Achievement Award presented by the e- government program "Yassir" is to honor the creative government projects that have contributed in making a quality leap in the implementation of electronic dealings in the Kingdom, and the beneficiary service in various fields, which led to Kingdom`s advance among the nations of the world in 2014 in the implementation of e-dealings.
MCI has won the award branch for e-services via smart devices through the application of "Commercial Notification" which enables the consumer of reporting notifications about the trading violations by using his smart phone, with the ability to attach photos on the violation site directly and easily, also through this application, it is possible to review the commodities seizure, and to have an idea about MCI campaigns, including the special news about the consumer. This application is easy to be used and it has already received the best free application in the Apple store.
Also MCI won the Award`s branch of Strengthening the National Economy through the service of " Registration of Trademark Electronically" which contributed in reducing the time of spreading the Trademark from 180 days to an immediate spreading electronically, as well as reducing the duration of the application for trademark registration from 240 days to seven days only, by using the latest technology, the Ministry has pointed out that the trademark registration has been increased by 47% compared with the past, as a result of the ease and speed of the new service measures, which helped to protect the rights of business owners and the owners of trademarks.
As well as MCI has won the award of providing "Better Service" to members of the community, through the beneficiaries service centers, via the consumer notification center (1900), through which the reports and notifications about the violations are received and followed-up automatically until they are closed, all that is done with the communication with the control and inspection teams by using smart devices which contributed in the speed of performance.
In addition to the consolidated call center for the business sector (920000667), which provides information on the nature of the services provided by MCI in all matters relating to commercial activities or industrial services and encouraging the individuals to start their commercial or industrial business and to clarify the most prominent facilities, in addition to providing technical support for electronic services.
MCI has pointed out that it takes a great interest in the development of its services and in creating innovative solutions that accelerate the application of e-government, and contribute in strengthening the Nation's Economy and serve the customers in a better way. These achievements are considered part of the Ministry's high performance in providing electronic services, where the Ministry had gained in the previous sessions of the competition, the award of providing more electronic Services and an award for its activities in "Twitter", in addition to other services that have been developed electronically by the Ministry, such as the issuance of the contracts for establishing the companies electronically, issuing the customs exemptions electronically, the electronic control, issuing certificates of origin electronically, issuing industrial licenses electronically, and other achievements that have been implemented with the highest international quality standards, by qualified young Saudis.
