The Ministry of Commerce and Investment has announced today the new improvements on the certificate of origin. This will enable the beneficiaries from the commercial and industrial sectors, as well as the individual exporters, to issue, sign, stamp and print the certificate of origin online, without the need to attend the Ministry as before.
The certificate of origin is considered an official document, granted by the Ministry to prove that the exported products are of national origin.
The new improvements on the certificate of origin e-service also allow the electronic verification of the requested official data, without the need to visit the concerned parties, due to the existence of integration and link with the relevant government authorities.
The Ministry has pointed out that the new improvements on the certificate of origin aims to support investors and facilitate the services provided to them, besides supporting the domestic industry and national products, through facilitating the procedures that will contribute to the development of the Saudi exports and raise the level of beneficiaries' satisfaction.
The current e-service is considered a major support for facilitating the export of the national products. These improvements are part of a package of e-services that MCI is seeking to develop and promote in cooperation and coordination with its strategic partner, Thiqa Business Services Company. MCI calls on those interested to have access through the Ministry's website, or have access via the service link:
