H.E. Dr. Al Qassabi Inaugurates the Saudi-Kenyan Business Forum

​Ways of Developing Relations between the two Countries have been Discussed with Kenyan President
 
Kenyan President Uhuru Kenata received at the Presidential Palace, in Kenyan capital Nairobi on Wednesday, the Minister of Commerce and Investment Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al Qassabi and his accompanying delegation, during the official visit to the Republic of Kenya.
 
H.E. Dr. Al Qassabi conveyed the greetings of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz to the Kenyan President and the friendly Kenyan people, stressing the Saudi government’s keenness to enhance the bilateral relations between two countries.
 
On a related level, H.E. the Minister of Commerce and Investment met with the ministers of trade, industry, tourism, transport, infrastructure, housing, agriculture, energy, labor and foreign affairs in Kenyan, with the presence of government officials and businessmen from both sides. Various investment opportunities in Kenya and ways of promoting and activating the investment issue, in particular at both sides, were discussed.
 
The Saudi-Kenya Business Forum kicks off today, with the participation of H.E. the Minister of Commerce and Investment Dr. Majid Al-Qassabi and his Kenyan counterpart, with the presence of a large number of officials and businessmen from both countries.
 
At the opening of the forum, H.E. Dr. Al Qassabi welcomed the Kenyan Trade and Agriculture ministers and all attendants, saying, "Saudi Arabia has developed the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, by setting time limit  for its implementation and key indicators, through which the progress of work can be tracked step by step".
 
H.E. Dr. Al Qassabi stated in his speech at the forum that Kenya is considered an important strategic trading partner for Saudi Arabia, since Kenya has an attractive investment environment and political stability, and the Saudi delegation’s visit comes to strengthen this partnership, especially with regard to the investment opportunities. H. E. called on the Saudi businessmen to build a strong relationship with their Kenyan counterparts, and to search for different investment opportunities In Kenya.
 
H.E. Al Qasabi concluded his speech by inviting his Kenyan counterpart and Kenyan businessmen to visit the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to strengthen the trade relations between the two countries, so that to achieve the desired goal of increasing the volume of trade exchange and creating a distinctive trade and investment relationship, to serve the interests of the two friendly countries.
 
The forum witnessed a presentation by the Kenyan side, which focused on the great economic activities, and the huge projects available for investment in the sectors of tourism, transportation, energy and agriculture.
 
H. E. the Kenyan Trade Minister also called on the Saudi businessmen to get an idea and review the large investment opportunities available in Kenya, stressing the keenness of his government to provide all facilities for the Saudi investors.
 
The General Authority for Investment gave a presentation on the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, and the Saudi government trend to attract foreign investment, by providing an attractive investment environment, and by offering great facilities for foreign investors, another presentation was given by the Saudi Development Fund on the export program.
 
The forum was concluded with a talk session between Saudi and Kenyan businessmen, through which the investment opportunities in Kenya were discussed. Both sides agreed to hold future meetings to activate the investment relationship between the two sides.
