To Discuss Enhancing Trade Cooperation between the Kingdom & Turkey
The Ministry of Commerce and Industry organizes the events of the Saudi-Turkish Business Opportunities forum to be held in Istanbul on Thursday 07.07.1437 AH corresponding to 14. 04.2016 AD, concurrently with the visit of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz (May Allah Bless Him) to the Republic of Turkey. This forum will be attended by Saudi and Turkish officials from the government and private sectors, where it will discuss the most prominent issues of trade and economic cooperation between the two brotherly countries.
H.E. the Minister of Commerce and Industry Dr. Tawfiq Bin Fawzan Al Rabiah and H.E. the Minister of Turkish economy, Dr. Mustafa Alitah will open the forum events and the Exhibition of the Saudi Exports Development Authority, that would accompany the said forum, with the participation of a number of the concerned government officials in the two countries, chambers of commerce and industry staff and investors from both sides.
Mr. Turki Al Toaimi, advisor of H.E. Minister of Commerce & Industry for Marketing & Communication, and the General Supervisor of the Saudi-Turkish Forum pointed out that he would focus on topics related to investment in renewable energy sources and electricity, as well as investment in industries, mining and petrochemicals, in addition to the investment in contracting, construction, housing and real estate projects. This Forum would also review the topics of financial and banking investment, besides the health and logistic services.
The first forum session would review the investment opportunities in the renewable energy sources and electricity, as well as discussing the establishment of specialized companies and the investment in the specialized research centers, also it would review the arable lands for investment in renewable energy sources.
Officials, specialists and investors involved in renewable energy sources and electricity from both countries would discuss the strategic importance of investment, bilateral cooperation, government incentives for renewable energy projects and electricity, the available encouraging Incentives and advantages in both countries, as well as the role of the government agencies concerned with energy in supporting the specialized investment in renewable energy sources and electricity in both countries.
The second session to discuss the investment opportunities available in industries, mining and petrochemicals, and it is seeking to establish industrial cities and complexes, as well as to establish joint factories on the basis of absolute and competitive advantages, also to launch joint industrial projects with advanced technologies, taking into consideration the nationalization goal.
MCI officials, specialists in commercial and industrial enterprises and employees of the Chambers of Commerce & Industry to discuss the strategic importance for industrial investment in both countries, as well as the government incentives for industrial projects and the positive advantages available in both countries, and the role of the government agencies, concerned with industry, in supporting the industrial investment in K.S.A. and Turkey, also the future of the joint industrial investment between the two countries.
The Third Session to review the investment in the contracting and construction sector by discussing the giant business opportunities, as well as discussing setting up joint contracting & construction companies, also the investment in the field of advanced technologies and in the specialized research centers, related to contracting and construction.
It is worth mentioning that specialists, engineers, experts and investors from both countries would participate in discussing the strategic importance of contracting and construction in both countries, also the available opportunities and challenges, as well as the role of contracting companies in developing the economies in Saudi Arabia & Turkey.
The fourth session to discuss the investment in housing and real estate projects through setting up joint ventures for the development of housing projects and real estate plans, and the investment in the field of advanced and specialized technologies, related to housing projects and plans, also to discuss the investment opportunities for this sector in both countries.
Officials and investors in this sector would participate in considering the strategic importance of investment, and the bilateral cooperation in the housing and real estate projects, the government incentives and the available encouraging opportunities, and the role of the concerned government agencies in supporting the housing and real estate investment projects in both countries.
The fifth session to review the financial and banking investment, it would discuss also establishing joint business and enterprises in the financial and banking services sector, also establishing joint business alliances and mergers in the banking sector, as well as the investment in the banking and financial services based on advanced technologies.
Specialists, experts and officials from the financial and banking institutions would participate in discussing the strategic importance of investment, financial and banking business in both countries, as well as the available government incentives for the financial and banking projects, especially the financial and funding incentives, and the role of the concerned government agencies to organize and support the investment, and the various categories of financial and banking business in both countries.
The sixth session to discuss the investment in the health sector and the logistic services, through the establishment of joint business and enterprises in the field of health services and logistic support, also to establish business alliances and joint trade mergers in this sector, as well as the investment in health services and the logistic support based on advanced technologies.
Officials, experts and investors from health institutions and logistic support would review and discuss the strategic importance of investments, the health business and the logistic support, also to discuss the government incentives available in the both countries, in particular the financial incentives, as well as to discuss the role of the concerned government agencies in organizing and supporting various categories of investments, health business and logistic support in both countries.
The Saudi-Turkish Forum to conclude its work on Thursday evening by presenting the final statement of recommendations, initiatives and joint agreements between the two countries.
Concurrently with the said forum, the Saudi Exports Development Authority organizes an exhibition for marketing the Saudi products in the Turkish markets, so as to achieve better access for the national products outside the Kingdom, thus creating quality opportunities for the Saudi products. Consequently, this would lead to achieve a comprehensive access into the Arab and international markets.
