In its Q3 2023 business report, the Ministry of Commerce announced a remarkable 60% surge in registered heritage hotels, underscoring a vibrant sector expansion.
The report highlighted that registrations soared to 1,544 heritage hotels as of Q3 2023, a significant leap from 963 in the same period last year.
Leading the regions in embracing cultural hospitality, Makkah stands out with 605 heritage hotels, closely followed by Riyadh at 545. Madinah features 122, while the Eastern Province and Asir contribute 101 and 62 registrations, respectively.
