Appointing H.E. Mr. Al Hussaini as a Permanent Representative of the Kingdom at the World Trade Organization in Geneva

​H.E. Mr. Saleh bin Eid Al Hussaini submitted his credentials, as a permanent representative of Saudi Arabia at the World Trade Organization, to the Director-General of WTO, Roberto Azevedo at the headquarters in Geneva.
H.E. Al Hussaini confirmed the permanent and responsible role of the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, in maintaining the stability and enhancing the global economy growth, through its leading role in the international organizations. Notably, the trade and investment policies, as well as promoting access to world markets, also improving the investment environment, are considered main hubs in realizing the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, through enhancing the status of the National Economy, increasing the growth level, improving the standard of living and working on the welfare of the citizens.
During this ceremony, H.E. the Director General of the World Trade Organization appreciated the Kingdom's regional and global leading role, as a key member of WTO, and as a member of G-20.
It is worth mentioning that H.E. Al Hussaini was a member of the Saudi Negotiation Team for the Kingdom's joining the World Trade Organization. He occupied several important positions in the government and private sectors, most notably, he worked as a Deputy Minister for Industrial Affairs at the Ministry of Commerce, Deputy Manager of the Saudi House for Consultation Services, and Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Districts of Technology “Modon”, member of the Board of Directors of SABIC, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Gulf Organization for Industrial Consultation.
H.E. Mr. Al Hussaini also was a member of the Board of Directors of the General Authority for Investment, as well as a member of the Board of Directors of the Communications and Information Technology Commission,  also a member of the Board of Directors of the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu, a member of the Privatization Committee of the Supreme Economic Council, besides his membership in the Preparatory Committee of the Supreme Council for Petroleum and Minerals, and the Preparatory Committee for the Manpower Council, in addition to the Economic Balance Committee.
H. E. Mr. Al Hussain chaired as well the Committee of Economic Affairs and Energy, during his membership in the Shura Council for three sessions, he worked also with the Ministry of Finance and Economy, the International Monetary Fund, a vice chairman of the Commission of Sustainable Development, Funding and Trade at the Inter-Parliamentary Union.
H.E. Al Hussain, the Kingdom's permanent representative at the WTO, holds a Master's Degree of Economics from the American University in Washington, 1986 AD.
