The Ministry of Commerce and Investment announced the success of the provisions plan in the Holy Place of Arafat during the current pilgrimage season 1440 H, where more than 78 million meals and cans were provided to the pilgrims during the past hours.
The Holy Place of Arafat has witnessed today abundance of commodities, food supplies, ready-made meals, bottled water, milk, juice, refreshments and other items that meet the requirements and needs of the pilgrims.
The Ministry confirmed that the food supplies are available in large quantities according to MCI plan for the current pilgrimage season 1440 H, where MCI inspectors supervised the entry of (1,393) refrigerated food trucks to the Holy Place of Arafat.
MCI field teams continued to supervise the entry and distribution of refrigerated food trucks, and directed them to the right locations inside the Holy Place of Arafat. The food supplies provided to the pilgrims including: 5.5 million ready-made meals, 28 million bottles of water, 27.7 million cans of yogurt and juice, (16.8) million loaves of bread and pastries, in addition to (320) thousand ice blocks.
MCI field control teams continue their inspection tours on the outlets selling foodstuffs in the holy sites, to ensure the abundance of food supplies and the absence of any commercial violations.
