The Ministry oversaw and approved the delivery of 98.5 million meals and other commodities across the Holy Sites during the Hajj.

There were a total of 394 points of distribution for the products. These included stores, refrigerated trucks, roaming vehicles and food supply vehicles.

The Ministry strictly monitored the availability of commodities, permitting the delivery of 32 million loaves of bread, 31 million bottles of cold water, 24.8 million bottles of juice, refreshment drinks, and milk, 6.8 million cooked meals, and more than 3 million ice cream products.

The inspection teams are still performing rigorous checks of all food outlets and retailers within the Holy Sites to ensure that appropriate supplies are available and that no infractions have occurred.
