The Commercial Attaché, Saudi Embassy of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in Washington, DC , Organized last weekend a working, defining and surveying visit for encouraging the mutual and shared economic investment opportunities between Saudi Arabia and the Republic of Mexico. The Kingdom is considered the largest trading partner to Mexico among the G.C.C. countries with a trade volume reached annually up to more than 900 million Dollars.
The delegation met with senior officials in the administration of cooperation and bilateral economic relations at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mexico and senior officials in the management of economic relations between the Asian continent and Mexico, as well as the administration officials of encouraging trade and investment at the Ministry of Economy of Mexico in addition to the some executives in a group of companies , and the management and members of the Mexican -Arab Chamber of Commerce and Industry .
The Mexican officials, who met the delegation of the Commercial Attaché, welcomed this step for the definition of the Saudi economy, the fastest growing among the Group of Twenty Major Economies in the world that Mexico is sharing in the membership.
They expressed their admiration of the trade and investment opportunities provided by such meeting, demanding the development of relations between the two countries in various fields and increasing the exchange of visits among the official or trade delegations and businessmen between the two countries, this will increases their cooperation and achieve their common interests .
The Arab Mexican Chamber of Commerce and Industry had organized a meeting for briefing the Attaché delegation attended by representatives of more than forty of the leading specialized Mexican companies interested in investment opportunities in the Kingdom.
The Commercial Attache` of the Saudi Embassy in Washington Adel Al Mubarak delivered a visual presentation and detailed explanation of the system and the attractive business environment in the Kingdom and the investment opportunities available in various sectors, after that he answered the questions of the attendants.
Participants showed their desire to learn more aspects of the opportunities available in the Saudi economy and to communicate with their counterparts of companies and Saudi businessmen and the Council of Chambers of Commerce and Industry in Saudi Arabia and the Center of Saudi Exports to explore areas of investing cooperation and to identify the economic sectors of added- value.
The management of encouraging trade and investment , which is the official business arm of the Government of Mexico, has shown its support for companies and businessmen in Mexico to work for further investment and explore economic opportunities between the two countries noting the efforts of the Embassy of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in Mexico and the Commercial Attaché, Saudi Embassy of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in Washington that resulted in opening new channels of communication among businesses in the two countries which could be the beginning of a serious and sustained action to achieve growth, well-being and prosperity of the people in the two countries .
The Executive Chief of the Arab Mexican Chamber of Commerce and Industry announced that the said Chamber of Commerce will lead in next May a delegation of businessmen to make a working visit to K.S.A. for having close look on areas of common economic investment with their Saudi counterparts.
