Minister of Commerce and Industry Dr. TAWFIG FAWZAN ALRABIAH, met in Riyadh today with visiting Japanese minister of economy, trade and industry Toshimitsu Motegi and accompanying delegation.
During the meeting, they discussed aspects of bilateral cooperation in commercial as well as industrial domains and means to enhance them.
Japan, is the second world largest economy, and the second leading commercial partner to the Kingdom and among the biggest investors, in the Kingdom.
Saudi Japanese trade balance stood at SR 212 billion, in 2011, with Saudi exports totaling about SR 181 billion, while the imports scored only SR 31 billion.
The meeting was attended by the Deputy Ministry of MCI for Foreign Trade Dr. Mohammed bin Hamad Al-Kathiri and the Japanese Ambassador to the Kingdom Jiro Kodera.
