These tours come within the efforts rendered by several government agencies operating as one team within the Saudi Program for Energy Efficiency, which is interested in finding a mechanism to ensure the control and commitment with the specifications launched by the initiatives of this program, for the preservation and improvement of fuel consumption efficiency. This job is carried out by the concerned government authorities, such as the Ministry of Commerce and Investment, the Ministry of Energy, Industry and Mineral Resources, the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization, the Saudi Customs and the Saudi Center for Energy Efficiency.

Meanwhile, MCI inspectors had inspected 2061 auto facilities, and they detected 167 violations related to fuel economy label, such as the absence of this label in the new car or it has been placed in the wrong position, in addition to the difference of the design provided in the label, as well as the label is found in black and white, besides the existence of wrong information on the label.

The Fuel Economy Label is considered the main reference for the consumer to know the amount of the car fuel consumption, which had been developed and implemented within the initiatives of the Saudi Program for Energy Efficiency, to keep the consumer informed about the most energy preserving cars.
