MCI campaigns in Hail city expose more than 10.000 expired food and consumer products

Ministry of commerce and investment inspection teams seized more than 10.000 expired food and consumer products in the local markets of Hail city. The expired food products were: more than 8,000 drinking water and juice boxes stored randomly under the direct sunlight which violate the storage conditions, more than 850 spoiled food products due to inadequate storage. Also, more than 900 consumer product like cosmetics, electronic appliances and expired automobile tires that are not conforming to standards and specifications, along with over 500 counterfeit clothes for famous brands. All quantities were seized, and the shop owners were called in front of the law authorities to apply the regulatory penalties.

MCI inspection campaigns are always active in all the Kingdom’s regions resulted in seizing large quantities of spoiled food and consumer products that were stored and distributed in the markets to fraud and deceive the consumers.

The ministry is continuing their inspection campaigns on warehouses and establishments to make sure that all businesses are done by the book, no fraud, no consumers deceiving and no exploiting for demand and purchase in marketing any damaged or counterfeit goods.

MCI call all the consumers to cooperate by reporting their complaints or inquiries to the customer call center in the ministry using this number 1900 or thought the smartphone application “Commercial Report.”
