Over 18 million food meals and commodities were transported to pilgrims
The food supply plan for the Arafat Site has been successful, according to the Ministry of Commerce.
Abundant quantities of commodities, food, meals, bread, water, milk, juices, and cool refreshments were provided for pilgrims.
There is an ample amount of food supplies as per this Hajj year’s plan, pointed out the Ministry, which supervised entry of cool trucks into the Arafat Site loaded with food supplies for pilgrims.
Inspectors from the Ministry made sure that all the refrigerated trucks made it into the Arafat Site and were parked in the designated places. More than 18 million food products were transported to Arafat, consisting of over 311,000 meals, along with over 2.6 million cold-water battles, 6 million packages of milk and juices, 2.3 million loaves of bread, and 7 million cool refreshments and over 400,000 cold drinks.
The monitoring teams are still conducting thorough inspections of all food outlets and stores across the Holy Sites in order to ensure that there are adequate supplies and no violations have been made.
