H.E. the Deputy Minister of Commerce and Investment Inaugurates “Meras” Center in Dammam

Facilitate Business, Offer more than 77 Government Services in one place
 
His Excellency the Deputy Minister of Commerce and Investment and Chairman of the Supervisory Committee of “Meras”, Engr. Majid bin Abdullah Al Bawardi inaugurates today “Meras” Center in Dammam, in the presence of the Chairman and members of Eastern Region Chamber of Commerc

“Meras” Center aims to facilitate and ease starting up business, and to provide government services in an easy and fast manner in one place. “Meras” Center includes more than 77 electronic services provided by government agencies, related to starting up and practicing business, such as: e-service for issuing the Commercial Registration, opening a file at the Ministry of Labor and Social Development, Corporate setting up, issuing licenses for sports centers, Trademarks registration and other government services.

“Meras” is a program launched by the Executive Committee for Improving the Performance of the Private Sector (Taysir). This program provides all the services provided by government agencies and the private sector to start up a business, also it provides linked electronic services using modern and up to date technologies, applied in the platform and Meras Center.

The center is opened 7 days a week, from 9:00 am to 11:00 pm, on Friday from 4.00 pm to 11 pm, to serve all investors and entrepreneurs.

It is worth mentioning that Meras initiative will include an interactive content through the website in the coming phases, which will introduce and identify how to start up a business. This is in cooperation with the government agencies and the private sector, aiming at providing value added services such as the investment opportunities, consultation, investment data, training and other services that would help investors, entrepreneurs and SMEs to boost and promote their potentials, having access to additional opportunities and to get suitable financial services.
