The Ministry of Commerce and Investment has organized a workshop for the Directors of Trade Control and Inspection in the regions, included a number of topics, namely raising the capacity and awareness of the inspectors regarding the commercial fraud cases, the procedural guide for inspectors and the mechanisms of inspection and monitoring tours.
The workshop comes within the plans of MCI Control and Inspection Department, aiming to intensify workshops and brainstorming meetings for increasing the inspectors’ awareness and raising their capacity and efficiency, so that they can be able to carry out their tasks properly. This workshop affirms as well the Ministry’s control role on the local market and its concerns to follow up the consumers’ complaints.
The workshop highlighted the skills needed to raise the capacity of the inspectors regarding the issues related to commercial fraud and the procedural guide for inspectors, which includes the most important commercial violations relevant to Commercial Fraud Law, trademarks and trade data. The workshop also discussed the mechanisms of inspection tours and all the rules and regulations followed in that regard, as well as responding and following up the consumers’ complaints as soon as possible. The workshop also included a video presentation with a detailed explanation of MCI Vehicles Tracking System and the mechanism of this system.
