 During the Workshop on Commercial Cover-Up, H.E. MCI Minister asked the Participants to Think Seriously and Deeply about this Issue

The Ministry of Commerce & Investment has conducted a Brainstorming Workshop to discuss the commercial cover-up issue and the best ways and solutions to eliminate this phenomenon. This workshop was attended by H.E. MCI Minister, senior official from the Ministry of Commerce & Investment, representatives from the Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Labor and Social Development, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs, the Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency and the General Authority for Investment

His Excellency the Minister stressed the importance of finding essential solutions to eliminate the commercial cover-up, pointing out that the Anti-Commercial Concealment is an important and vital issue to improve the economy and to create new jobs. Consequently, it was one of the most important initiatives of the Ministry in the National Transformation Program 2020 AD. 

H.E. Dr. Al Qasabi pointed out that MCI, with the integration and cooperation with the relevant government bodies, will spare no effort in combating the commercial concealment. This comes within the Ministry’s endeavors to create an attractive investment environment, in line with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 AD.

H.E. the Minister urged the participants to think seriously and deeply, as well as to do all possible cooperation, also to exchange opinions and suggestions to come out with ideas and clear vision about the major challenges facing the combating of commercial cover-up, in addition to finding out the best ways to eliminate this phenomenon.

The workshop included a visual presentation of the national program for combating the commercial concealment, as well as a review of the most important initiatives related to this program and the most prominent or proposed solutions for anti-commercial concealment. The participants in the workshop discussed the major challenges facing the combating of commercial cover-up.

The participants also discussed the main solutions to eliminate the commercial concealment issue, according to the opinions and views presented by the participants, based on two pivots: Regulations & Penalties, besides consolidating the efforts among the concerned government authorities.

This workshop comes within the Ministry's efforts to promote and activate the cooperation and partnership with relevant government authorities to raise the level of integration among these parties, in order to eliminate the commercial cover-up successfully.
