The Ministry of Commerce said its Northern Frontier Region inspectors carried out more than 1,800 visits to malls and outlets across the region's cities and governorates. The inspectors took 2,624 price readings for commodities and products using the electronic monitoring system, which monitors the prices of 278 products.
The visits included malls and outlets across cities and governorates and made sure that businesses were abiding by the Ministry's laws. The inspectors double-checked the price levels and availability of essential products and their substitutes as well as the protection of consumer rights.
The Ministry urged the consumers to report commercial violations by calling the toll-free number (1900) or through the “A Commercial Report” App.
