The inspectors of the Ministry of Commerce Aljouf Region branch performed 2,670 price monitoring assignments covering supply and essential commodities in August, as part of the inspection visits exceeding 1,200.
The inspections focused on warehouses, markets and retail outlets across cities, governorates and villages located throughout the province. The inspectors made sure that all of the businesses were in compliance with the regulations stipulated for by the Ministry on pricing.
Violators were slapped with 111 fines on the spot.
To safeguard consumer rights and ensure that they have access to a wide range of goods in sufficient numbers, the Ministry of Commerce continues to enact strict procedures with the goal of closely monitoring pricing throughout all of the Kingdom's regions.
