Saudi Arabia is the seventh in business registration according to the UN GER.CO

The United Nation’s Global enterprise registration site for trade and development classified the kingdom in the seventh rank on business registration last week.
  
The Kingdom obtains this position for the electronic services that the ministry of commerce and investment is providing like issuance and managing commercial register for individuals, establish the companies, connecting with chamber of commerce and the ministry of justice, issuance of manufacturing license, register the trademarks and other electronic procedures that the investor had to follow to start the business.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Oman are the only two Arab countries ranked in Single Window advanced second level (the service is fully electronic from the first application until the obtaining of the license) group that has only 30 countries. The first level is the Information Portal (provide informative services) has 130 countries.

GER.co encourage governments to make it easy and attractive for entrepreneurs to register their businesses electronically and comply with laws and regulations, and that is what the ministry of commerce and investment is working on constantly.

The ministry already has these electronic services: issuance of companies’ establishment contracts, automatic tariff exemptions, issue the certificates of origin, issuance of industrial licenses electronically and other global standard services implemented by efficient Saudi officials. It is worth mentioning that MCI has won many rewards for its electronic services.

The ministry is working on many electronic service packages, among them are the companies electronic register that comply with the companies’ new system, license for discounts, factories guide application for smartphones and other services.
