The Ministry of Commerce said its Aljouf Region inspection teams made over 1,900 visits in September to make sure businesses were in compliance with the Ministry's laws and regulations.
Using the electronic monitoring system, the inspectors also monitored price levels and took 2,670 price readings for commodities and products in outlets.
The inspections took place at stores, malls, storage facilities, and warehouses, and aimed at ensuring that consumers' rights are upheld, there are sufficient quantities of products offered by various suppliers, and there are high-quality alternatives.
The Ministry urged the consumers to report commercial violations by calling the toll-free number (1900) or through the “A Commercial Report” App.
