His Excellency the Minister of Trade and Investment, Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al Qasabi met at the headquarters of the General Investment Authority on Wednesday, Minister of Development in the Republic of Turkey Mr. Lütfi Elvan.
The minister Al Qasabi and the Turkish minister reviewed the trade relations and investment opportunities between the Saudi Arabia and Turkey and the means to developing and activating the Joint Business Council, urged businessmen in both countries to put more effort and examine the opportunities for joint cooperation, and exchange of experiences to increase the volume of trade exchange. They two ministers also urged the businessmen to hold exhibitions that display products representing each country, and participation in international exhibitions held in both countries, in addition to strengthening cooperation in the scientific and technical field between the two countries and increasing joint investments.
At the end of the meeting, there was a gifts exchange between the two sides.
It is worth mentioning that the trade exchange volume between Saudi Arabia and Turkey in 2015 was more than 22 billion riyals.
