Ministry of Commerce Eastern Province branch conducts 20,000 price inspection tasks in August

The inspectors of the Ministry of Commerce Eastern Province branch carried out 20,000 price monitoring assignments covering supply and essential commodities in August, with 13 inspection visits performed.  

The inspections focused on warehouses, markets and retail outlets across cities, governorates and villages located throughout the province. The inspectors made sure that all of the businesses adhered to the regulations set forth by the Ministry on pricing.

Violators were handed with 1,615 fines on the spot. 

To protect the rights of consumers and guarantee that they have access to a variety of items in ample quantities, the Ministry of Commerce continues to implement stringent measures for the purpose of closely monitoring prices across the entirety of the Kingdom's regions.
