The Saudi-Egyptian Joint Committee to Hold Preparatory Meetings in Cairo next Wednesday

The 5th session of the Saudi-Egyptian Joint Committee will start the preparatory meetings in Cairo during the period 28-29.06.1437 AH, corresponding to 06-07.04.2016 AD, in conjunction with the coming visit of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud (May Allah Bless Him) to Egypt.

The Saudi delegation will be headed by H.E. the Minister of Commerce and Industry Dr. Tawfiq Bin Fawzan Al Rabiah, while the Egyptian side will be chaired by the Minister of Commerce and Industry Engr. Tariq Kabeel. This 5th session will also be held in conjunction with the Saudi-Egyptian Commercial & Investment Forum, and the Saudi-Egyptian Joint Business Council, also with the Saudi Exports Exhibition.

The aforementioned Committee will discuss a number of important topics, notably the promotion of trade exchange between the two countries, also developing facilities that contribute to multiply and increase trade and investment rates in the two countries, the difficulties facing the Saudi investments in Egypt will be discussed as well, also a number of different topics will be studied, such as health, cultural, educational and technical issues, moreover a scheduled follow-up will be specified to enable the specialized work teams to put the recommendations into action.

It is worth mentioning that the volume of trade exchange between Saudi Arabia and Egypt for (2015) has reached SR (23. 806) million, while the Kingdom's exports in the same year reached SR (15.197) million, and the imports SR (8.609) million, the trade balance tends in favor of the Kingdom, ahead by SR (6.588) million.
