The Ministry of Commerce and Investment and the Public Prosecution held a workshop entitled "The Role of Law Enforcement Officers in Commercial Concealment and Money Laundering Crimes ". This is for gathering the efforts and overcoming the difficulties faced by Law Enforcement Authorities.
During the said workshop, the Commercial Concealment Crime, its effects and dangers had been discussed and reviewed in details. In addition to the role of law enforcement officers in this crime. Also money laundering, arising out of this crime, besides the relation between the commercial concealment and money laundering crimes and the role of law enforcement officers in money laundering crime in accordance with the manual of money laundering procedures and what are stipulated in the 40 recommendations.
The workshop also included a presentation on a commercial concealment case, accompanied by money laundering. Then the difficulties, facing the criminal investigation officers and ways of overcoming them, were discussed.
At the end of the workshop, the minutes of meeting was signed by the Head of Investigation of Economic Crimes at the branch of Public Prosecutions in Riyadh, Sheikh Mohammed Al-Humaid and the Director General of Combating the Commercial Concealment at the Ministry of Commerce and Investment, Mr. Misfer Al-Qahtani.
