The Owners of Cars, Subject of this Recall Campaign, are Kindly Requested to Contact the Agents and Make the Necessary Updates for their Vehicles
The Ministry of Commerce and Investment has announced recalling of 93.253 GM vehicles, due to a defect in the automatic brake programming. This defect may decrease the performance of the brake control unit, thus it may increase the distance required to stop the vehicle, so it may lead to an accident.
MCI calls on the owners of these vehicles, subject of this recall campaign, to contact the local agents, Aljomaih Automotive Company and the International Agencies Co., and make the necessary updates for their vehicles. This is for their safety and for preserving their rights.
This recall campaign includes the following models: Cadillac Escalade 2015 to 2017, Chevrolet Silverado, 2014 to 2018, Chevrolet Suburban, 2015 to 2017, Chevrolet Tahoe, 2015 to 2018, GMC Sierra, 2014 to 2018, and GMC Yukon, 2015 to 2018.
MCI calls on the vehicle owners to verify that the vehicle chassis number is included in this recall campaign. They can do that through the website of Recalling Defective Products Center, via the following link (Recalls.sa), and they should contact the concerned local agents for free updates.
The Ministry of Commerce and Investment used to announce the recall campaigns for defective goods and products immediately upon finding any defect in the manufacturing process, then making a technical investigation and contacting the local agents for taking the necessary remedial action.
It is worth mentioning that the Recall Center for Defective Products is one of the initiatives of the Ministry of Commerce and Investment for the realization of the National Transformation Program 2020, and the Kingdom's Vision 2030.This center aims to protect the consumers and to follow up their complaints related to manufacturing defects and to work on solving such defects. This center also monitors the recall campaigns by the manufacturers to ensure the quality of products and to verify that they are free of any defect. It aims to promote consumer safety and preserve his rights, besides reducing the financial waste of the national economy.
