The Ministry of Commerce announced a recall of 13,763 magnetic car phone holders with a 360-degree rotation feature, due to their design requiring them to be installed in the center of the steering wheel, which directly contradicts the airbag warning in the vehicle owner’s manual. If the airbag inflates, the phone or its holder would be forcefully pushed towards the passenger resulting in serious injury or death.
The Ministry urges users of these products to immediately stop using them, return them to the seller, and receive a full refund.
