The National Anti-Commercial Concealment Program carried out inspection rounds on commercial establishments within the industrial workshops sector in the city of Hail. The purpose was to ensure compliance with approved market regulations and to address any instances of crimes or violations related to the Anti-Concealment Law.
The inspection campaign was conducted by the Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority, and the Hail Region Police.
The inspection tours resulted in identifying cases of suspected commercial concealment and violations of trade, municipal, labor, residence, and transportation regulations. The regulatory authorities summoned the violating establishments to impose legal penalties against them in accordance with the Anti-Commercial Concealment Law.
The National Anti-Commercial Concealment Program utilizes modern mechanisms to eliminate the shadow economy. Twenty government entities employ artificial intelligence, data analysis, and information to track down those involved in concealment. Legal penalties, including up to five years of imprisonment and fines of up to five million riyals, are imposed on offenders, and their illicit funds are seized and confiscated after final judicial rulings are issued against them.
