During the current month, the Northern Frontier branch of the Ministry of Commerce made 1,554 visits to warehouses, markets, and sales outlets in the region's cities, governorates, and villages.
The visits were intended to check on the availability of essential food and supplies in order to meet the required consumption needs in Ramadan and ensure that retailers comply with the ministry's regulations and take precautionary measures.
As a result, 92 urgent violations were issued against infringing business outlets, in line with the penalties set for violating the Ministry of Commerce's regulations and precautionary measures.
These visits revealed the availability of commodities and consumer products, as well as their alternatives, particularly goods and products that consumers enjoy purchasing during the holy month of Ramadan.
