The Ministry of Commerce's inspection teams performed last week over 36,000 price readings for commodities and products at retail locations throughout the Kingdom’s regions.
The tasks were carried out as part of the inspection visits totaled 16,000, which focused on stores, shopping centers, warehouses, and storage areas to ensure they complied with the Ministry's laws.
Inspectors use an electronic system to monitor 280 essential commodities and products across the country and carefully monitor price levels. Any commercial violation will be handled immediately.
The inspection visits also double-check the availability of copious amounts of products and backup commodities as well as multiple suppliers to protect the rights of consumers.
