The Ministry of Commerce issued its quarterly bulletin for consumer protection for the third quarter of 2025, including the most prominent works and efforts in the areas of combating commercial fraud, combating commercial concealment, e-commerce, and others.
The bulletin touched on the monitoring efforts carried out by the inspection teams, which contributed to preventing more than 5 million non-compliant products from reaching consumers. It also addressed the inspection visits for combating fraud and commercial concealment, as well as the work of the unified call center for consumer reports “Bina,” which strengthens integration among government agencies to protect consumer rights.
The third-quarter bulletin addressed the compliance rates of e-commerce stores in the evaluation recently announced by the Ministry, according to the ten standards applied to 100 e-commerce stores in the “first phase,” aiming to raise compliance rates and enable the stores to improve their services.
During the three months, the Ministry handled more than 168,000 commercial reports, with reports related to e-commerce stores being the highest in number, followed by contractual disputes and non-compliance with the return and exchange policy.
