MCI inspection teams' rounds, demolished more than 20 thousand spoiled and expired commodities, despite of manipulating its validity, in order to deceive consumers, selling them as if they are valid, to reap more profits.
The case file has been filed to prosecution authorities, to take proper action, as these are acts of cheating and deception, following recalling the managers by MCI authorities, to investigate.
Among seized commodities, are herbal materials and flowers, incense, edible oils, tea, olives, dairy products, fruits, decayed vegetables and varieties of rice, packed in other brands' sacks.
MCI, therefore, warns of sale or promotion of contrabands and/ or counterfeit commodities, pointing that it will, strictly, impose applicable statutory punishments against violators, who are jeopardizing the public health and the threatening consumers' safety, in addition to defame them, in public, following the judicial sentencing.
On the other hand, MCI says, it will continue with such inspection round, in marketplaces, warehouses and installations to guarantee malpractices' free market
