The Ministry of Commerce has announced the recall of 5,309 vehicles — Chevrolet, GMC, and Cadillac models (2021–2024) — due to a defect in internal engine components (connecting rod and/or crankshaft), which may lead to engine damage and loss of propulsion while driving, thereby increasing the risk of a crash.
The Ministry urged owners of the affected vehicles to contact General Motors at the toll-free number (8008200048), Aljomaih Automotive at (8007525252), and Universal Motors Agencies at (8002442244) to have their engines inspected and to carry out the necessary preventive measures or replace the engine if needed.
