The Ministry of Commerce has reported that a total of 751 million and 655 thousand essential commodities were provided to the Holy Sites during this year's Hajj season (1444 H).

Among these commodities, beverages, including milk and juices, were the most consumed, with a total of 406 million packs. Drinking water packs followed with over 207 million units. Baked goods accounted for more than 128 million loaves of bread. Additionally, over 7 million ready-to-eat meals and more than 3 million ice cubes were also supplied.

This is part of the Ministry of Commerce's plan to ensure an ample supply of goods for the pilgrims throughout the Hajj season. Over 700 regular transport trucks were issued permits to deliver essential commodities and products to sales outlets in the Holy Sites.

The Ministry's field inspection teams are responsible for monitoring stock availability in markets, sales outlets, and warehouses during the Hajj season. They also oversee compliance with consumer protection regulations and address any trade violations in commercial establishments and stalls in the regions of Makkah and Madinah.
