The inspectors of the Ministry of Commerce’s Eastern Province Branch performed 10,887 visits last month to warehouses, markets, and outlets across cities, governorates and villages to monitor prices of commodities and guarantee that stores and outlets abide by the laws enacted by the Ministry.
Following inspections, the Ministry slapped infringing outlets with 487 violations as per the penalties prescribed for violating the Ministry of Commerce's regulations.
The Ministry encouraged consumers to report violations via the Commercial Violation App, by dialing 1900, or by visiting the Ministry's website.
