The Ministry of Commerce applies approved security policies, procedures and standards that are reviewed and updated periodically, and are compatible with the frameworks and controls issued by the National Cybersecurity Authority and relevant national legislation. The best international practices and standards in cybersecurity are also applied, such as (ISO 27001 standard) for the information security management system. This contributes to enhancing and protecting the information assets of all services provided by the Ministry from potential cyber risks.
The Ministry of Commerce website also applies a high degree of security and is reviewed periodically, as the use of two-factor authentication is imposed to enter the website in order to “protect data and secure access.”
