The Ministry of Commerce has defamed a branch of a company specialized in the trade of furniture, ready-to-wear clothes and perfumes in the city of Najran after the issuance of a court ruling condemning the said company and the executive director of Indian nationality for violating the Anti-Commercial Fraud Law, and for not adhering to the terms and conditions of sales licenses by offering goods not included in the approved list of sales and for not placing the list of the approval items on a prominent location in the shop.

The Ministry has published a summary of the court ruling issued by Najran Criminal Court, which includes imposing a fine on the company and the offender, besides publishing the verdict in two newspapers at their expense.

It is worth mentioning that the Ministry of Commerce has already provided an e-service for issuing sales licenses online, in order to eliminate fake and misleading offers towards the consumers, in addition to implementing inspection tours to monitor the compliance with the terms and conditions of sales by the commercial establishments.

MC urges the consumers to lodge their complaints and reports on the violating establishments through MC Consumer Call Center (1900), or through the application of a Commercial Violation Report, or via the Ministry’s official website.
