The Ministry of Commerce has defamed the owner of an Est. specialized in jewelry and watches in Arar, after a judicial ruling convicting him of violating the Anti-Commercial Fraud Law, and for not placing a comparison card on the offered products, to show the prices before and after the discounts.

The Ministry has published a summary of the judicial ruling issued by the criminal court in Arar, including imposing a fine on the violator, and publishing the verdict in two newspapers at his expense.

It is worth mentioning that the Ministry of Commerce has provided an e-service for issuing sales licenses online for the commercial establishments, in order to eliminate fake and misleading offers, in addition to implementing inspection tours to monitor the establishments ’compliance with the terms and conditions of making promotions & sales.

MC urges all the consumers to lodge their complaints and reports on the violating establishments through MC Consumer Call Center (1900), or through the application of a Commercial Violation Report, or via the Ministry’s website.
