The Ministry of Commerce Surveys the Opinions of the Public Regarding the Draft Rules for Organizing the Free Professions

Based on the principle of participation and transparency, the Ministry of Commerce calls on those interested and the public to express their opinions and suggestions regarding the draft Rules for Organizing Free Professions, through the following link mc.gov.sa/PRD and via the e-mail (professionallicenses@mc.gov.sa), deadline 14.02.1442 AH corresponding to 01.10.2020 AD.

The Ministry has explained that the said draft rules aims to encourage the practice of free profession activities in the Kingdom and lay the foundations for them, besides enhancing their effectiveness in order to overcome the obstacles they face. This is to raise the contribution of the private sector in the trade activities and to achieve the goals of the Kingdom's Vision 2030.

Among the most prominent features of the draft rules are specifying the licensing conditions, adopting standards for accrediting the professional fields, in addition to setting standard procedures, such as (academic qualification, experience, point regulation) for the process of issuing a professional license, and to determine the rights and obligations of the licensees.
