Engr. Al-Bawardi Expresses His Thanks and Appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for being appointed as Deputy Minister of Commerce and Investment

​His Excellency the Deputy Minister of Commerce and Investment, Engr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Bawardi, expressed his deepest thanks and sincere appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, and to His Royal Highness Crown Prince, and to His Royal Highness Deputy Crown Prince, on the occasion of the Royal Decree, subject of appointing Engr. Al Bawardi as Deputy Minister of Commerce and Investment.
 
His Excellency expressed his deepest thanks and gratitude for this precious royal trust. Engr. Al Bawardi prays Almighty Allah to help him meet this big responsibility to serve this great country and its noble citizens, and to do all the best to support the trade and investment process in this dear country, as well as to fulfill the aspirations of the wise Saudi leadership, also to meet the needs of the citizens. Engr. Al Bawardi extended his thanks and appreciation to H.E. the Minister of Commerce and Investment Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al Qassabi for his kind support and assistance in this regard.
 
It is worth mentioning that His Excellency the Deputy Minister of Commerce and Investment Engr. Majid Al-Bawardi has held several positions during his practical experience, most recently as Chief Executive Officer of Thiqa Business Services Co., which is considered MCI strategic partner for developing its services since 2012, including as well a group of ministries and other government bodies. H.E. Al Bawardi was also an advisor to the Minister of Commerce and Industry, and a General Supervisor of Information Technology. H.E. Al Bawardi was also a member in several boards of directors, such as the Communications and Information Technology Commission, the Civil Aviation Authority, the Saudi Post and others. Recently, he headed the Board of Directors of Thiqa Business Services Co. and the Board of Directors of Riyadh Airports Company.
 
H.E. Al-Bawardi graduated from the College of Computer Science at King Saud University and received several training programs and certificates, most notably a Master's Degree in Project Management from George Washington University and an Advanced Degree in Leadership and Management from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). He started his practical career in the Telecommunications Company, then in Alam Information Security Company, then in Youssir program for e-transactions, then as an advisor at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, and as CEO of Thiqa Business Services Co., and most recently Chairman of Directors Board for Thiqa Business Services Co.
