MCI has carried out inspection campaigns on the substance of phosphine and has taken commitment from the shops selling pesticides

​All the detected quantities have been confiscated and penalties have been imposed on those involved 

MCI has carried out field inspection rounds on a number of shops selling pesticides in various regions of the Kingdom, in order to make sure that there is no killing pesticide " aluminum phosphide "  The shops are obliged to sign written commitment not to sell such substances.
 
This comes within the Ministry's keenness to protect consumers from the dangers of harmful chemicals, to ensure that such substances are not available in the markets and to punish the violators.
 
MCI will continue its inspection campaigns on shops, respond to complaints in this regard, confiscate all the detected quantities and it will impose the necessary penalties on violators. 
 
It is worth mentioning that " aluminum phosphide " when exposed to moisture send out deadly gas called " phosphine " a flammable colorless gas , and it is one of the toxic gases that spread easily everywhere .
 
The Ministry stresses that it will not tolerate with those selling such substances which threaten the health and safety of the consumer.
 
MCI calls on all the consumers to report against the shops that sell " phosphine " through the Report Center in the Ministry on the phone No.  800 124 1616.
